Do not be deceived by the common perception about Calabria as being a very hot region in Italy. The temperature is actually not very disturbing. What make this region very interesting are the various places that never fail to attract visitors who have just visited for the first time. Some of the many good places to visit in Calabria are the following:

  • Tropea is one of the most visited locations in Calabria. Party is the life of this place. Tourists will definitely enjoy the parties held on the seafront during summer. Aside from this, Calabria produces a sweet red onion that is admired by the food experts.
  • If Tropea is the home of the sweet red onion, Pizzo on the other hand is where tartuffo originated. Tartuffo is famous as a delicious Italian ice cream. Cafes in Pizzo are the perfect locations for observing the entire beauty of this place.
  • If you want to know where to visit in Calabria and be able to set foot in its biggest city, Paola is where you should go. From any part or point in Italy, you can reach this place via train and visit the famous Monastery of St. Francesco as well as the bars and beaches.
