Shopping in Reggio Calabria

When visiting a foreign place for a vacation one thing on the ‘have to do list’ is shopping. This is the time when people would like to bring something home to their friends or loved ones from their trip; or even perhaps for themselves  to use during their stay or to enjoy when they get home. When visiting southern Italy, Shopping in Reggio Calabria is a must. There are various places where one can go and enjoy the wares they offer.

Something which a person who wishes to go Shopping in Reggio Calabria needs to keep in mind is the fact that the outdoor markets are held seasonally in different towns as a feature. In Soverato for example, this is considered to be the biggest flea market in the region with about 50 stands. It is held ever last weekend of the month where various paintings and framed pictures are sold. In Crotone, there are about a hundred stands in Piazza Duomo during the first weekend of the month. And in Cosenza, on the second Sunday of the month, various antiques and ornamented pieces are sold. Food markets are also open each day of the week; varying depending on the location. These schedules are widely available and most residents would probably know the schedule by heart. One can find all sorts of items from simple snacks to meals and fresh food items and even cookware and clothing as well as souvenir items.
