Dream escapes can be exciting and fun especially if you know when to go, what to do, and what the weather will be like in your chosen destination!

Italy’s climate ranges from cold in the mountainous region up north, to hot in the hills and plains in the southern areas.

Calabria weather is quite unlike anywhere else in Italy. It’s relatively good all year round so suited for many excursions including trekking to villages where the best wines, cheeses, meats, and homemade dishes made from local produce may be savored; and for exploring picturesque coves, taking a splash in the white sand beaches; and strolling through the attractive seaside towns and villages.

Travelers may bask in the year-round sunshine offered by Calabria.  The temperate Calabria weather is ideal for swimming, fishing, golfing and sightseeing. During winter, the temperature can reach 18C on the coast but go as low as -8 in the mountains which is great for snow ski enthusiasts.

The warm Calabria weather during summer is also great for experiencing what Calabria has to offer. A tourist can spend hours in Gerace simply sitting in the sunny piazza in front of the cathedral. In the old and densely inhabited town of Reggio Calabria, where you can see across the Straits of Messina to Sicily, one of the most stunning views in southern Italy.

Another beautiful town, Tropea, overlooks the azure skies & seas, and it’s noted for the incredible rocks called “La Pizzuta”, “Formicoli”, “San Leonardo” and “Isola Bella”.
Tropea also takes pride in its architectural attractions like ancient churches and patrician dwellings. Other activities most travelers enjoy when the sun is out is a pleasurable walk around the many shops in some of the well known towns. In certain places like Soverato, a refreshing warm breeze can make strolling & lazing on the beach a really good all year round experience.
