Calabria Property Among Best in Europe for Investment – Experts Say

Calabrian property has been recommended as “among the best in Europe for long-term investment”. The stability and exclusivity of the region makes it a fantastic place to invest in property, as a holiday home investment or simply an investment according to Liam Bailey. He wrote on the company blog:

I would choose Calabria [for a long-term holiday home investment], because when the time came for me to sell, I know there will be strong demand for property, because the government is determined not to let Calabria become over-developed. I also know that if I decided not to sell, the safety of an Italian property would give me a wide range of options for equity release.

We spoke to Liam on the phone and he also said that he would probably be looking at securing his finance for the purchase now, so he was ready to act when the right opportunity presented itself.

“I would want to have the funding in place, so that when the Pound peaks I am ready to dive in and get a bargain,” he said.

The Pound has recently strengthened from being worth 1.07 Euros in April, to being worth 1.17 in the last fortnight. It is currently worth 1.16 Euros. From that we can suspect that 1.17 – 1.20 maybe the ceiling, and buy when it reaches this ceiling for maximum instant equity.
